Or even having the game available on a platform like Steam. Like you said, I really wish they would focus on advertisement. I haven't logged on for a while now because I hate to see the emptiness and the new(ish) update almost going to waste. Furcadia was literally like 80% of my childhood and it's how I met one of my closest friends of like 11 years. Furcadia is such a nostalgic thing for so many of us and it's pretty devastating to see it so empty. This makes me so sad to read but it's something I've also been thinking for a while. Unfortunately every move the company makes seems to take us a step away from that. I want some goddamn innovationīut I have no hate for the game, I just want to see it return to its former glory. I don't want a remake of a game I don't want to play anymore. There are certain areas in 32-bit now but it's not enough to want to draw players back. The company took far too long to show off any kind of progress. It took near to 5 years to see any progress, except for an iOS app that was pulled from the store. So The Second Dreaming promised to revitalise the game and breathe new life into it, as well as potentially bringing back the playerbase. They need to be taking out advert space on other websites, posting in forums and generally making their presence known. Unfortunately the creators of the game aren't working on advertising the game whatsoever. I like the quirks and little features that make it fun and unique and I think that others would too. A nice list of all the dreams that are owned by players and a number next to it indicating current users would be so convenient and much easier to navigate.įurcadia have a decent product. We need a proper dream browser, I mean Habbo Hotel managed it in the mid-2000s so why can't Furcadia. It's not fun, it's not enjoyable and quite frankly it's a chore. Walking around aimlessly for hours looking for a dream that interests you, or worse trying to find a dream to enter, isn't fun. Digos are fun but they're not really progressing the game into the 21st century all too much.Īrchaic systems they have no plans to rebuild The vast majority of the content on the Furcadia YouTube channel (including their livestreams) and most of the updates on their website are creating digos. Having said that, they could probably do more to make it look like it isn't true. Here are, in my opinion, the problems the game has:ĭigos are all that the company cares about I love Furcadia and owe it so much in terms of friends and fun memories but due to errors made on behalf of the creators it's been left to slowly die. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't a rant. There were only 700 people, which is less than half of what there once was. I went on recently, at a reasonable time, and checked Pounce. Or at least close enough to being dead to make me not want to play any more.įurcadia, when I used to play it a lot, at peak times had anywhere from 1500-2000 people online.
